Tandoor apology

New Delhi, Dec. 17 (PTI): Sushil Sharma, sentenced to death in the tandoor murder case, today apologised in public for “all mistakes in life”.

Minutes after his appeal against the order of additional sessions judge G.P. Thareja was admitted by Delhi High Court, the former Delhi Youth Congress president told reporters that it is only human to commit mistakes.

“I am just an ordinary man. Everybody commits mistakes. I, too, have committed it. As death awaits me, I want to apologise to everyone,” Sharma said.

Sharma had shot his 29-year-old live-in partner Naina Sahni and then roasted her body in a tandoor in July 1995.
