SAIL targets higher output

Calcutta, Dec. 3: Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) is aiming at a production growth of one-million tonne through a de-bottlenecking exercise next year.

According to SAIL chairman, V. S. Jain, the increase in production will help the company cater to the demand both in the domestic and international markets. Currently, SAIL has a combined production capacity of 10 million tonnes in its four integrated plants in Durgapur, Rourkela, Bokaro and Bhilai.
