KEC posts Rs 6.94 cr net profit

KEC International Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 6.94 crore in the second quarter ended September 30 compared with a loss of Rs 4.32 crore in the year-ago period. Sales turnover was maintained at Rs 164 crore against Rs 143.69 crore in the same period last year. The company registered a net profit of Rs 4.71 crore in the first half of the current financial year against a loss of Rs 5.41 crore in the same period last year.

SAP India

SAP India, a business software solutions provider, has announced its industry-specific channel partners for small and mid-size businesses. The partners include Mahindra Consulting Ltd, offering customised solutions for the automotive suppliers industry, and Ygyan Consulting, offering solutions for the engineering and constructions, pharmaceuticals and textile industries.

FDA approval

The medical equipment and systems business unit of Larsen & Toubro Ltd has secured an approval from the Federal and Drug Administration of the US for two models of its multi-parameter patient monitoring systems Star and Planet. The FDA approval, mandatory for medical devices marketed in the US, gives L&T an access to the $250-million patient monitoring systems market of the US.

Florshiem

Florshiem, a US-based footwear company, has launched its high fashion range of shoes for men. Priced at Rs 3,795, the footwear is available in slip-on, blucher and monk styles.
