Trader son still in coma

Mithun Koley, 22-year-old son of a businessman allegedly abducted from Salt Lake last Monday night and found unconscious on the Nilratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital campus three days later, remains in a coma.

Quoting hospital reports on Sunday, police said Mithun appears to have received a serious blow to his brain and is in an extremely critical condition.

Under observation of a team of doctors, the young man has not shown any signs of recovery. Salt Lake police said they were yet to find any clue in the case. Till Mithun comes out of the coma, it will be difficult to make any headway, they added.

“We are interrogating his family and checking his cellphone for a link,” said Ajay Nand, additional superintendent of police, Salt Lake.
