New Delhi, Nov. 11: India plans to hand over to Pakistan seven children, who had inadvertently crossed the border a few months ago, on November 14, celebrated as Children’s Day, reports our special correspondent.
Officials said over the past few weeks, attempts had been made to establish the children’s identity. Once this was done, Pakistani officials here were given consular access to them. It was decided they should be released at the earliest.
As part of attempts to strengthen people-to-people ties, India has invited a 70-member business delegation from Pakistan to participate in an international trade fair here.
