Showroom, godown looted

Durgapur, Nov. 1: Five armed dacoits robbed two business establishments in Sagarbhanga, about 150 km from Calcutta, early this morning, reports our correspondent. The miscreants looted cash and decamped with spare parts worth more than Rs 90,000.

After forcing two private security guards out of a godown of a private company, the gang broke down the shutters and looted more than Rs 60,000 from an almirah. They then entered a two-wheeler showroom next to the godown on JP Avenue and looted spare parts and Rs 15,000 in cash. The dacoits also tried to loot the office of ChennaióBangalore Road Lines, a transport company in the same area, but found nothing there.
