Gillette mood upbeat

New Delhi, Oct. 29: Gillette, which sounds bullish on its business in India, is now focused on innovative products, with an eye on the mass market.

The company, which had divested its Braun brand of home appliances and Geep batteries earlier, has come up with a new technology called the ‘push clean’ technology in its twin blade razor system called Gillette Vector Plus.

Zubair Ahmed, managing director of Gillette India, said, “The Indian blade market, at 3.8 billion production units, is the largest in the world. However, the users of twin blade systems, against flat (double edged) is only 10 per cent, whereas in China it is 25 per cent and in the US as high as 99 per cent.”
