Now that the festive season is coming to an end, it is time to bid it adieu cheerfully with laughter. The Assembly of God Church School, in association with Spandan and the Rotary Club of Bhowanipore, presents ‘The Johnny Lever Show,’ featuring the undisputed monarch of Bollywood comedy, Johnny Lever. Born Johnny Rao, this talented comedian’s entry into Indian films wasn’t easy. His father, an employee of Hindustan Lever, got his son a job in the company. Johnny regaled his bosses with his imitations and was an instant hit. It also earned him the sobriquet of Lever. After a prolonged struggle for a foothold in Bollywood films, success finally came his way. Today he comes to the city with a mission: to raise funds for The Assembly of God Church School (Hindi medium) run for underprivileged children.
