Pfizer in growth mode

Mumbai, Oct. 24: Pfizer India Limited has formed a team of professionals that will chart growth plans by the year-end. The use of parent Pfizer’s research-based products could be one of the options mentioned in its report. “We have set up a team for strategy and business development and will soon present a new business model to the company board,” Pfizer India managing director Hocine Sidi said at the company’s AGM here today.

Four Seasons

New Delhi, Oct. 24: Toronto-based Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts today entered into a strategic partnership with Magus Estates Private Ltd of India, owned by the Jatias, to build a 180-room five-star luxury hotel in Mumbai at a cost of Rs 260 crore.

Cell firms’ plea

New Delhi, Oct. 24: Cellular operators have asked the Telecom regulatory Authority of India not to levy any access deficit on cell to cell calls, saying such a move would be “incorrect and irrational”.

AV Birla plans

Lucknow, Oct. 24: The AV Birla industrial group would make large investments in Uttar Pradesh in new projects as well as in its existing units, chairman Kumarmangalam Birla said today.

Yahoo India

Mumbai, Oct. 24: Yahoo India, a subsidiary of Yahoo! Inc, will concentrate on wireless data services as it expects a large growth in the sector due to rise in mobile phone users in the country, said country manager Neville Taraporewala.
