Back in the black

New Delhi, Oct 24: NIIT has clawed it way into the black. The IT solutions and knowledge management company reported a consolidated after-tax profit of Rs 3.8 crore in the fourth quarter ended September 2003 against a net loss of Rs 4.9 crore in the year-ago period.

Consolidated PAT for the 12 months ended September 30 was put at Rs 3.9 crore against a loss of Rs 19.3 crore in the previous financial year.

Fourth quarter revenues rose 12 per cent at Rs 271.4 crore over the year-ago quarter's level of Rs 243.1 crore while 12-month revenues increased 14 per c cent at Rs 914.1 crore (Rs 799.5 crore). The company’s consolidated operating profit in the fourth quarter grew by 121 per cent at Rs 24.1 crore (Rs 10.9 crore) and 12-month operating profits rose 55 per cent at Rs 72.3 crore (Rs 46.7 crore).
