L&T arm software for BoB

L&T Infotech Ltd has completed systems integration and computerisation for Bank of Baroda's (BoB) offshore banking unit at SEEPZ, Mumbai. The new system from Fidelity Information Services of the US will help the bank to enhance its services to overseas clients and Indian export houses. The project, which was executed in 30 days, included customisation of 12 software modules.

Infosys unit

Infosys Technologies Ltd's banking business unit has partnered with Oracle Asia Pacific, a division of Oracle Corporation, to offer enterprise banking solutions to banks in the Asia-Pacific region.

J&K Bank card

Jammu and Kashmir Bank has launched its debit-cum-ATM card called ‘JK Bank global access card’ in association with Mastercard International and is planning to launch internet and mobile banking and credit cards.

ABB India

ABB India, a leading solutions provider in the metals and cement industry, has bagged export orders worth Rs 30 crore to provide automation solutions for steel and cement plants in China, Morocco, Turkey and Bangladesh.

Adobe alliance

Adobe Systems Incorporated has entered into a strategic alliance with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global software services and consultancy firm, under which TCS will integrate and resell Adobe products as part of its enterprise solutions offerings.

Tata AIG pact

Tata AIG Life Insurance Company Ltd has signed an agreement with Association of Financial Planners, the Indian arm of the Financial Planning Standards Board of the US, to offer certified financial planner course. It will be available to bancassurance partners, corporate agents, brokers and the company’s sales force.

Coal India

Coal India Ltd has registered a 3.7 per cent growth in coal production at 133.83 million tonnes in April-September 2003 compared with 129.04 million tonnes in the year-ago period. The company has also recorded a growth in coal off-take and wagon loading in the first half of the current financial year.
