New York, Oct. 21 (AP):
Jennifer Lopez will appear “occasionally” on a daytime talk
show she’s co-producing — but you’ll see her sister every
day.
Universal Domestic Television announced yesterday it’s making the talk show, loosely designed as a young woman’s version of The View.
Scheduled to premiere next September, the as yet untitled show will be syndicated, meaning Universal will try to sell it to local TV stations for use in the morning or afternoon.
While Barbara Walters, creator of The View, appears on her programme a couple of times a week, JLo won’t be there as often, said Lisa Hackner, universal’s executive vice- president of programming and development.
“Will she be on the show every day? No,” Hackner said. “Will she be there during the ratings (sweeps) periods? If she can, she will be there. We’ll see her occasionally.”
Lynda Lopez, a TV and radio personality in the New York area, will be one of the four panelists. Casting for the other three women is under way.
