Low pressure

Calcutta, Oct. 16: The weather office today said a low pressure has formed over the Andaman Sea but it has not developed into a depression yet.

The regional meteorological centre in Alipore said: “The rain that Calcutta experienced today was because of local rain clouds and not under the influence of the low pressure.”

Monsoon officially bid farewell yesterday. The Met office forecast light rain and possibility of one or two thunder showers tomorrow.
