Calcutta, Oct. 7: Jindal Photo Films Ltd (JPFL) has revamped its marketing strategy to capture a share of the amateur photography market. The Rs 443 crore distributor of Japan-based Fuji Films has a 35 per cent share in the country’s photography market.
“The company has earmarked a budget of Rs 20 crore towards promotional activities mainly for the amateur segment,” said Rathi B. Pal, managing director.
“The photographic film market is dominated by professional photographers who account for 60 per cent of the total sales, where we have a strong presence. However, usage among amateur photographers is less,” he added. Jindal Photo Films has launched the Fujicolor Crystal 400 ASA and 200 ASA film.
