HEG to demerge textiles

New Delhi, Oct. 6: HEG Ltd, a Bhilwara group company, today announced demerger of non-core textiles business, which has in turn been merged with another group firm, Rajasthan Spinning and Weaving Mills Ltd. Following this, HEG has become a dedicated graphite electrode company, it said in a statement.

Tisco output

Calcutta, Oct. 6: Tata Steel (Tisco) today said it had produced 2.01 million tonnes of saleable steel in the first six months of 2003-04 — 10 per cent higher than last year. Tisco produced 2.23 million tonnes of hot metal and 2.11 million tonnes of crude steel during the period.

A-I approval

New Delhi, Oct. 6: The Air-India board today approved the dry-leasing of four wide-bodied aircraft which would help the national carrier launch its services to Shanghai, double its capacity to the US and increase frequencies to Europe by December.


Mumbai, Oct. 6: IDBI Bank’s acting CEO and country head of retail banking, Ajay Bimbhet, has resigned, the bank informed the BSE.

BSE margins

Mumbai, Oct. 6: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has slapped revised special margins on 78 stocks, including ACC, Tata Steel, Mastek and Union Bank from today as part of its market monitoring mechanism, the exchange said in a notice to the broking members.
