Fresh threat to VIPs on Naxalite website

Dhanbad, Oct. 2: The People’s War has renewed its death threat against chief ministers Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee of Bengal and . Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh and their former Jharkhand counterpart Babulal Marandi on its new website.

The Naxalite website, www.geocities.com/cpimlpwg/ vanguard.html, was launched to dodge the block on the earlier site, www.4fra.com.

“By the suppressive actions of the comprador state governments of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, MP (Madhya Pradesh), Chhattisgarh, the respective comprador governments have virtually signed their own death warrants,” reads the message on the website.

“Buddhadeb Bhattacharyya (sic), Chandrababu Naidu, Babulal Marandi shall perish. People’s War gives a call to all revolutionaries to take up arms and join the struggle for emancipation. Death to Buddhadeb Bhattacharyya, Chandrababu Naidu, Babulal Marandi. Long live revolution, Inquilab zindabad!”

“We were aware of the earlier website, www.4fra.com. But it was instantly closed, presumably by the service providers. This website is hosted by Yahoo geocities,” a source in the state intelligence said.

The threat perception for Marandi is being considered particularly high because of his drive against extremism.

Last month, the former chief minister of Jharkhand had escaped unhurt after a landmine blast in the Naxalite-infested Giridih district.
