Griffith is WICB chief

London: Teddy Griffith was elected president of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) on Tuesday. Griffith beat the only other candidate, Clarvis Joseph, by nine votes to four at the Jolly Beach Resort in Antigua.

Griffith, a businessman, played for Barbados and Jamaica, besides being chairman of WICB marketing committee.

He replaces former West Indies great Wes Hall who stood down because of ill health.
