New Delhi, Sept. 28 (PTI): The revival in economy and an unprecedented rise in overall demand have led to sustained growth in the manufacturing sector during April-September, a CII-Ascon report said here today.

“Out of the 134 sectors reporting production compared with 131 sectors during the corresponding period last year, nine have recorded excellent growth of more than 20 per cent, 42 registered high growth between 10-20 per cent, 55 logged moderate growth of 0-10 per cent while 28 suffered a decline.

In services, five of the 11 sectors surveyed registered excellent growth and an equal number recorded high growth, it said. Only one area showed negative growth.
