TCS plans to recruit more

Calcutta, Sept. 26: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is expanding its operations in Calcutta. It will recruit 1,400 people over the next one year.

At present the company employs around 2000 people at its existing city centre.

Speaking at a CII seminar, S. Mahalingam, chief financial officer of TCS, said, “We will set up a new facility in the city that will serve as a centre of excellence for financial services and insurance sector.”

The software solutions provider has already acquired 1.7 acres of land over and above the existing 1.8 acres for the new facility.
