Camp for Bagan players

Mohun Bagan players will undergo a two-phase residential preparatory camp at the SAI before the Durand Cup scheduled at the capital from November 1-10. The first camp will last from October 6-10 after which the green-and-maroon brigade takes part in the Airlines Cup. The second training phase runs from October 21-30, following which the team leaves for Durand Cup.

Hardcourt meet

Danielle Jones trounced Sucheta Sengupta 6-1, 6-0 to moved into Round II of the ladiesí singles in the Aarbur Calcutta hardcourt meet at the South Club on Tuesday.

The pairs of Samrat Ghosh-Gora Mukherjee, Manoj Kumar Sewa-Robin Das, Snehashish Mukherjee-Sabyasachi Bose and Arpit Sharma-Simon Chakraborty moved into Round II of menís doubles.

Paikpara best

Paikpara Ramkrishna Mission won the Calcutta Police Cup inter-school football meet, beating Shyambazar AV School 1-0 in the final. Bracebridge Recreation Club won the Friendship Cup defeating Crowch Boys 1-0.
