New Delhi: The All India Tennis Association today clarified on reports that tennis would be dropped from the Afro-Asian Games to be held in Hyderabad from October 24-November 1.
“We have now been informed by the Games organising committee that Confederation of African Tennis has nominated Nigeria, Morocco, Cote D’ilvoire and Zimbabwe,” Anil Khanna, secretary general of AITA, said in a press release here.
“The president of Olympic Committee of Asia has also spoken to the ATF president who has assured that good teams will participate from Asia,” Khanna said. He further clarified that the Indian team will be represented in full strength. (PTI)
