Bangla boy

Chapra (Nadia), Sept. 18: A 14-year-old Bangladeshi boy, Alamgir Hossain, was rescued here, about 120 km from Calcutta.

He was kidnapped last night from Chuadanga in Bangladesh by a gang of 20 dacoits, both Indian and Bangladeshi. Police said Alamgir was picked up from his house for ransom. The gang had asked for Rs 2 lakh from his father Anisur Rahaman, a petrol pump owner. The police, however, managed to arrest only one member of the kidnap gang.
