Delhi CAS talks agenda

The state government will send an official of the information and cultural affairs department for the conditional access system (CAS) talks on Monday, involving state representatives from the four metros and the Centre.

Officials said on Sunday that three pleas would top the agenda:

Don’t implement CAS before all doubts are cleared;

Don’t implement CAS till the festive season is over in Bengal;

Implement CAS simultaneously in all four metros.

“We will have to be convinced that CAS is consumer-friendly,” department principal secretary Basudeb Banerjee said on Sunday.
