EB gain in CAB transfers

East Bengal were the net gainers at the CAB inter-club transfers for the ensuing cricket season on Thursday. Moving over from Mohun Bagan to East Bengal were Sourashish Lahiri, Laxmi Ratan Shukla, Amitava Chakraborty and Subhamoy Das. Also moving to East Bengal, was Ritam Kundu, from Belgachia United. In all 39 transfers were recorded, of whom two later withdrew for their old clubs.

Table tennis

Pronay Moitra of East Calcutta beat Rohit Chakraborty of Hooghly 7-11, 5-11, 13-11, 11-9, 11-9 to win the cadet boys’ title in the Cricket Club of Dhakuria-organised table tennis meet on Thursday.
