Cell players’ missive to PM

New Delhi, Sept. 10: The cellular mobile operators today wrote a formal letter to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee alleging that only one basic service operator was responsible for the violation of limited mobility restrictions and sought his intervention.

According to the cellular operators, one of the justifications put forward by this service provider is the quantum of investments made and the contention that “these investments would be wasted as a result of the enforcement of limited mobility”.

The letter said, “This claim by the fixed-line service provider is irrelevant, false and misleading.”
