After a bout of violence following the murder last night, two shops were set on fire this morning and roads and railway tracks were blocked to paralyse rush-hour traffic.

Two persons were arrested following a complaint from the slain leaderís family. Forty people were held for last nightís violence. Nag, who was also the pradhan of Dubra gram panchayat, was shot dead. Trinamul leaders alleged that the CPM was behind the murder.

Mamata Banerjee was here tonight. Earlier, leader of Opposition in the Assembly Pankaj Banerjee said the murderers were roaming free.
