Till September 20 at Caffeine, 133A Southern Avenue; 11 am - 10 pm: An exhibition of paintings by Santanu Das and Alok Paul. Till September 14 at Vikalp Art Shop, Swabhumi; 4 pm - 8 pm: An exhibition of paintings, Masters’ Strokes, features K.G. Subramanyan, Shyamal Dutta Roy, Suhas Roy and Sunil Das. September 10 at Uttam Mancha; 6 pm: Cultural Choir, Howrah, celebrates Professor Dipankar Chattopadhyay’s successful musical career spanning 40 years with a musical programme: Ganer Bhuvan and Surer Tarange. Music arranged by Swaraj Chatterjee and Tarun Chatterjee. September 10 at Swabhumi; 6 pm: Rabindrasangeet recital by Chitralekha Choudhury. September 11 & 12 at Surya Sen Mancha, Jodhpur Park: Manasi hosts a two-day state-level music conference featuring a host of both established and upcoming artistes. September 12 at Srijan Rooftop, 176 Sarat Bose Road; 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm: Srijan’s monthly forum on ‘Indian music and dance’ features a lecture-recital on the sitar by Kalyani Roy, with Soumen Sarkar on the tabla. Also, sitar recital by Sampa Joardar and sarod recital by Arnab Chakraborty. September 13 at Sisir Mancha; 5.30 pm: Shaheed Jatin Das Smriti Samiti will observe the 75th ‘Martyrdom Day’ of Jatin Das with a musical programme featuring Srikanta Acharya and Debarati Shom. September 14 at Bharatiyam, IB 201, Salt Lake; 6.30 pm: EZCC presents Gotipua folk dance of Orissa by Lingaraj Barik of Puri, his troupe members and EZCC workshop participants.

Till September 12 at Nandan III; 6.30 pm - 7.45 pm: Novel Scene — Women writers’ film festival organised by British Council. September 9 at Max Mueller Bhavan; 4 pm - 8 pm: The first Kalpanirjhar International Short Fiction Film festival features The Capalbio Retrospective to be introduced by filmmaker Goutam Ghosh, a Berlin Film School Selection, 1998-2002, a Selection from La femis, (National Professional School for Sound and Image, Paris, 2002-03).

Till September 16 at Artisana, 13 Chowringhee Terrace, 1st floor; 10 am - 7.30 pm: A display of exclusive textiles including sarees, scarves and fabrics from Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and eastern India. Till September 25 at 14/97 Golf Club Road; 11 am - 8 pm: Srabasti’s Collection showcases creations of Keya-Chaitali including T-shirts, phatuas, sarees, panjabi, salwar-kurta etc. Till September 30 at 1/57 B Dover Place; 2 pm - 7 pm: Gharoya hosts an exhibition of sarees, salwars, kurtas, costume jewellery and more.
