Rohanís 91in CAB victory

Hyderabad: CAB XI moved into the semi-finals of the Moin-ud-Dowlah Trophy on Sunday beating Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) by three wickets.

They will take on Associated Banks, who beat Indian Airlines. The other two semi-finalists are India Cements and Chemplast.

Rohan Gavaskar hit a sparkling 91.

VCA 184/7 in 50 ovs (U. Gandhi 81; L. R. Shukla 3/24). CAB XI 187 for 7 in 47.5 ovs (R. Gavaskar 91, S. Ahmed 43, M. Acharya 4/41).

Bengal win big

Meanwhile, in Srinagar Bengal beat Jharkhand by 105 runs in their C.K. Nayudu match Sunday. After putting up 156 runs in 29.5 overs, Bengal bowled out Jharkhand for 51 in 19.2 overs.

In another match, Chattisgarh crushed Bihar by ten wickets to move closer to a place in the quarter finals. Gujarat, Delhi, Chandigarh and Andhra Pradesh also won.

Chattisgarh notched up the required 131 in 16.3 overs without losing any wicket against Bihar. (PTI)
