MTNL arm in Mauritius

Mumbai, Sept. 6: MTNL will set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Mauritius with Rs 100 crore capital to start telecom services like basic and international long distance in the island country and may make this entity a holding company for its overseas businesses.

NSE alert

Mumbai, Sept. 6: The NSE has decided that trading in 135 securities will be available in “trade to trade” segment from September 10 as a risk containment measure. These scrips will not be available in the rolling segment. Some of the securities are Arvind Remedies, Shreyas Shipping, Duncans Industries, DCM.

Forex reserves

Mumbai, Sept. 6: India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by $692 million at $86,255 million during the week ended August 29. The foreign currency assets increased by $692 million at $82,624 million in the period under review.
