Turn of Laloo II

Patna, Sept. 3 (PTI): Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav’s sons are on a roll.

Tej Pratap has been chosen captain of the Bihar under-14 cricket team barely three days after younger brother Tejeswi Prasad received the Khel Kirti Samman for his indeterminate exploits in cricket.

Sports circles here said it was another riddle that Tejeswi had not found a place in the under-14 team, the captaincy of which was allegedly given to his elder brother to mollify him.

But Ajay Narain Sharma, secretary of the Laloo Prasad-led Bihar Cricket Association and chairman of the selection committee, said there was “no political pressure” in selecting Tej Pratap. Tejeswi, a budding school cricketer, had on August 29 shared the Khel Kirti Samman, the topmost state sports honour, with two others.
