Scant regard for safety norms

Traffic rules allow autorickshaws to carry a maximum of four passengers. But in crowded areas like NSC Bose Road and Behala, autos carrying five passengers go scot-free. This puts passengers at a great risk.

Wall scrawl

It has become an annoying trend among companies selling consumer durable products to advertise their goods by pasting slogans on the walls of residential complexes. This accompanies graffiti put up by political parties. Since the Calcutta Municipal Corporation is taking up measures to beautify the city, it should look into this as well.
