Bagan cricket team crumbles

Calcutta: Mohun Bagan have been hardest hit in the cricket transfer marker this season. After East Bengal snatched away the likes of Sourashish Lahiri and Laxmi Ratan Shukla, they are set to lose Deep Dasgupta to Tollygunge Agragami. It is learnt that the Tollygunge officials have been in constant touch with the Deep, who is currently in England.

Also, they are closing in on East Bengal medium-pacer Ranadeb Bose. Meanwhile, Devang Gandhi, who is also in England, has been targeted by East Bengal. But the Tollygunge Agragami officials are confident they will be able to retain the middle-order batsman.

East Bengal, on the other hand, have confirmed the services of Bengal batsman Arindam Das from Tollygunge. A couple of other prize catches for them are Bagan opener Amitava Chakraborty and wicketkeeper Abhijit Sikdar.

Shukla to lead

Meanwhile, Shukla will lead CAB XI in the forthcoming Moin-ud-Dowla Trophy in Hyderabad. The 14-member team, leaves on Sunday.
