D’Cunha out for three weeks

East Bengal’s Alvito D’Cunha, who was injured in Monday’s Super Division match against Railway FC, will be out of action for three weeks. According to club doctor Shanti Ranjan Dasgupta, the star player has suffered some fibre tear in the upper part of the thigh, which means he will be on complete rest for a week. D’Cunha can start working out after that but will not be fit for football for at least two more weeks.

Revised date

The CFL Super Division match between Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting, deferred because of the transport strike, will be played on Thursday. In the Super Six stage, the East Bengal-Mohammedan Sporting match will take place on September 7, while Mohun Bagan face the black-and-white brigade again on September 10.
