GCC sticks to stand

Calcutta: The Global Cricket Corporation (GCC) is satisfied its claim for compensation against the ICC is based on accurate and reasonable grounds.

GCC confirmed that at meetings last weekend ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed raised concerns about aspects of GCC’s claims against ICC.

“Our reply was that we would again look at those aspects but in our view the best way to deal with them was through legal process laid down in the Master Rights agreement between the ICC and the GCC,” director Ian Frykberg said in a statement.
