CSA emerge winners

Calcutta Sports Association (CSA) beat Rishra Swimming Club 7-6 in the final of the 49th Centennial waterpolo meet at the College Square pool on Saturday. Hafiz Dhali (3) was the top-scorer for the winners. For the Rishra side, Sumitesh Bairagi scored four.

Calcutta Cup

Calcutta Police beat CFC 27-7 in the semi-finals of the Calcutta Cup rugby meet at CC&FC to set up a final with Future Hope, who thrashed LMOB Blacks 74-12. The final is on August 16.

SAI soccer

STC Cuttack hammered SAG Kishangunj 9-0 on the opening day of the regional level SAI football tournament. STC Calcutta trounced STC Bardhaman 5-1, while STC Dhenkanal beat STC Lebong 5-2. The match between SAG Port Blair and STC Patna ended 1-1.

One-day meet

Srirampur Sub-Division SA will host a one-day football meet Sunday on the occasion of the first death anniversary of former Fifa referee Pratul Chakraborty. An award in the name of Chakraborty will also be given away to the best referee.

Indoor cricket

Dynamic Equities beat ITC by 12 runs in the Corporate Indoor cricket meet at Space Circle on Saturday. ITC made 87 in reply to the winnersí 99.
