Kodalia, Santipur in final

Kodalia Prasanna Banga High School and Santipur Hindu High School moved into the finals of the Calcutta leg of the Britannia-Anandabazar Cup on Friday. While Kodalia Prasanna beat Agarpara Mahajati Vidyapith 3-0, Palash Das scoring two and Bhargov Guha Thakurta one, the Santipur team thrashed Kendupukur High School by a similar margin. Sujan Burman, Rajat Biswas and Gouranga Pare scored for Santipur High School.

Indoor cricket

S.P. Yarns beat Seagram in the second Corporate Indoor Cricket tournament at Space Circle on Friday. After Seagram tallied 20 in the stipulated eight overs, one of their players broke his hand while fielding. Following this, Seagram conceded the match.

Rly aquatics

The 44th all India railway aquatic championships will start at the Subhas Sarobar on Sunday. Two hundred and fifty participants will be seen in action in the four-day event.

Rally on Sunday

Eastern Motor Sports Association, in association with Arcadia Community Centre, will organise the Independence Cup Rally on Sunday. The rally will start from the KFR Ground and will cover a distance of 105 km around the city and South 24 Parganas.
