London: Former US Open champion Paul Lawrie has withdrawn from next week’s US PGA meet at Oak Hill with a neck injury. The 34-year-old has not played since missing the cut at the Open at Royal St George’s last month.
“Having consulted my doctor I have been advised to withdraw from next week’s US PGA Championship,” said Lawrie. “I have a neck problem that is causing headaches. I’ve been advised to rest for another week.”
