Madhuri secretary

New Delhi, Aug. 5: Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s secretary Rakesh Nath was recently questioned by Delhi police in connection with extortion calls made by the Mumbai underworld to a businessman here, reports our special correspondent.

Nath was summoned here last Saturday and questioned by Delhi police’s special cell in connection with an extortion case, joint commissioner of police Neeraj Kumar said.

But he refused to provide details, saying this would reveal the identity of the businessman. Police sources said Nath was questioned for over two hours as he was allegedly aware of the calls.

During investigations, sleuths found the calls to the businessman originated from Dubai. Sources believe the extortion threats were made by members of the Dawood Ibrahim gang.

Nath is also secretary to other Bollywood stars like Amisha Patel, Namrata Shirodkar and singer Adnan Sami.

Nath’s wife, Reena, directed Saajan, with Sunjay Dutt in the lead, some years ago. The secretary’s son is said to have made a film as well, Dil Ashiqana Hai.
