New Delhi, July 24: The premier industry associations — Confederation of Indian Industry and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry — are working together to promote trade relations with Thailand.
Ficici secretary general Amit Mitra and CII’s deputy director general Dilip Chenoy flew down to Thailand early this week to persuade businessmen in Thailand to explore business opportunities in India.
Korn Dabbar Ansi, deputy prime minister of Thailand, will be coming to India on a four-day visit in early August along with a business delegation. During this visit, he is scheduled to address Ficci meetings in Delhi and Chennai. Ansi will also participate in CII organised meetings in Bangalore and Mumbai.
“The idea of this visit is to promote Thai participation in India and keep them abreast with the sectoral opportunities that exist here. We are looking forward to cement our trade relations in the days to com,” said Chenoy.
