Archery teams make cut

New Delhi, July 19 (PTI): A day after three Indian archers made it to the 2004 Olympics, the menís and womenís teams too booked their berths in the Athens extravaganza.

The menís team reached the semi-finals and the women lost in the quarter finals at the 42nd world archery meet in New York, said an Archery Association of India release on Saturday.

The menís team of Satyadev Prasad, Tarundeep Rai and Ved Kumar beat Russia 247-232. The womenís team comprising Dola Banerjee, Reena Kumari and Chekrovolu Swuro lost 236-239 to the Ukraine.

Dola, Satyadev and Tarundeep had already qualified.
