Damages blow to Bradford

Calcutta, July 18: Calcutta High Court continued delivering its verdict for the third day in the appeal filed by Barbara Taylor Bradford against a June 30 ruling allowing Karishma — The Miracles of Destiny back on air, says a staff reporter.

The division bench of Justices A.. Ray and J. Banerjee called the May 7 high court injunction staying the telecast “wrongful” at yesterday’s session.

Justice Ray today directed Bradford to file an undertaking to pay damages in a week. He also waived the bank guarantee of Rs 25 lakh that Sahara had been directed to provide on June 30 by Justice M.H.S. Ansari, who vacated the stay order on the telecast.
