Waterbody choked to the brim

The waterbody near Netaji Sporting Club, in Lake Town, needs to be dredged immediately. Layers of silt have thickened the bed of the pond. Such waterbodies cause great inconvenience during the monsoon, as run-off water doesnít get an outlet.

Powerless week

For the past week, we have remained without electricity and despite several complaints to the CESC office on Prinsep Street, no action has been taken. The CESC had been working at a snailís pace because the electric circuit we have access to (DC) is considered outdated. If this system is obsolete, why donít the authorities do away with it'
