Tie ends in a draw

London: Fighting half centuries by captain Matthew Wood (88) and Michael Lumb (56) saved the day for Yorkshire as the hosts forced a draw against India A on the final day of the three-day match at Headingley Friday.

India A, who had taken a first innings lead of 90 before declaring at 336 for eight, failed to overcame the challenge of Wood and Lumb who guided Yorkshire to safety with their patient knocks.

Muali Kartik was the most successful bowler claiming three for 76.
