Midnapore, July 8: A boy was killed and two women injured when an elephant, apparently angry at being chased by villagers the whole of yesterday, returned to Dalhati near Jhargram and brought down several huts.

Last evening, people spotted two elephants in a thin forest adjacent to National Highway 6, about 200 km from Calcutta. From about 11 am till late evening the young males were chased by a mob of hundreds armed with stones and flaming torches.
