Wimbledon crown to Sania

New Delhi, July 6 (Agencies) Sania Mirza became the first Indian girl to win a title at Wimbledon.

Mirza and her partner, Alisa Kleybanova of Russia, rallied from a set down to defeat Katerina Bohmova of the Czech Republic and Michaela Krajicek of the Netherlands 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the girls’ doubles final today.

Leander Paes and Martina Navratilova won the mixed doubles today. They defeated Andy Ram of Israel and Anastassia Rodionova of Russia 6-3, 6-3.

Roger Federer won his first Wimbledon men’s crown beating Mark Philippoussis.
