IFAís woes

The rains could spoil the IFAís plans of running its leagues through on a tight schedule. Saturday two first division group A matches fell through, one (between Salkia Friends and Kidderpore) because the Mohammedan Sporting ground was unfit .

After Mohun Baganís match Saturday with West Bengal Police, coach Aloke Mukherjee and goalkeeping coach Atanu Bhattacharya both said it was the ground condition wasnít conducive for good football and felt that it would be wise to shift some matches to the Salt Lake Stadium. Tollygunge Agragami have been persuaded to play their next match at Mohun Baganís home Tuesday. And if this change is needed there could be further problems. IFA secretary Subrata Dutta, however, said that to date, the schedule remains unchanged.
