Calcutta: Efforts are on in full swing to get Real Madrid play a match in the city.
The Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (ISWBM), which will “act as a catalyst” in organising the match, is still looking for sponsors and expecting the “draft agreement” early next week from the Madrid club.
ISWBM director Ashoke Dutta said at a press conference Real’s agents have told them that they are available to play in India on August 12 or 14 on way back from the Asian tour of Japan and China.
The “substantial amount” of money involved in bringing the Spanish heavyweights is still being worked out.
Real’s opponents for the proposed match has not yet been finalised.
