Alembic to buy Dutch brand

Mumbai, June 23:Alembic Ltd today announced that it will acquire the brand and trademark rights of obstetrical care drug, Yutopar, from Dutch pharma entity Solvay Pharmaceuticals BV for an undisclosed amount, subject to regulatory approvals. Yutopar had a turnover of Rs 1.44 crore in the domestic market in 2001-02, Alembic Limited informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Vadodara-based firm has already sought the Reserve Bank of India’s approval to the acquisition.

Citigroup move

Mumbai, June 23: Hexaware Technologies Limited, a Nishar group company, has informed the National Stock Exchange that Citigroup Global Markets Limited has acquired a 5.67 per cent stake or 12.53 lakh shares in the company.

Sterlite shares

Mumbai, June 23:Sterlite Industries Ltd’s board will consider a proposal to delist its equity shares from the non-regional stock exchanges of Calcutta, Delhi and Ahmedabad at its meeting on June 25, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange today.

Kesoram stake

Calcutta, June 23:Private corporate bodies reduced their holding in Kesoram Industries Limited, a B. K. Birla group company, by 11.99 per cent during the last two financial years.
