Dips that pose a death threat
The road dips sharply at Esplanade, creating an accident risk. Pictures by Kishor Roy Chowdhury

Tapan Kumar Das: There are dips at the crossing of Chittaranjan Avenue and Mahatma Gandhi Road, and again at Esplanade, due to subsidence of the tram tracks. These are death threats and accident risks.

Such dips exist at other spots, too. We have decided to concretise the gutters in a phased manner.
