BOC, Ispat in pact

Calcutta, June 14: BOC India Ltd has agreed to help Ispat Industries set up a 1,260 tonne per day oxygen plant that was produced by it.

BOCís managing director Sanjiv Lamba said his company was also setting up a 225-tonne per day plant for Tata Steel. Business with the latter generates about 30 per cent of BOCís revenues. More than 50 per cent of BOCís revenues come from the steel industry. As BOC looks to reduce its reliance on the industry, it is aiming to double its income from medical gases.
